Happy Valentine's Day! My day as a Nurse

I want to wish all my followers a very Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I worked at my regular job, being a nurse at a local hospital. I start IV lines all day, that's my job. You may be thinking, yuk, how can she do that all day.

I love it. I find its a skill that most don't just aquire, it's something you are born with. Hand eye coordination, a gentle touch. I make a treatment that is unavoidable, tolerable. WE, our IV team, provide a caring service to the public that helps provide care to our neighbors, friends and loved ones. We use our crazy sense of humor a positive when a patient is sick or cranky. It's a great feeling when the patient is smiling when we leave their room or bedside. I've even had a patient fall asleep when I was working. That gives me a sense of satisfaction, that one can sleeping peacefully during a procedure.

Anyway!

That leads me to why I started beading in the first place. A hobby for relaxation and it turned into a passion. Some days, I needed a retreat from my hectic days. I needed to focus on something else.

So here I am, a nurse by day and a jewelry maker/designer at night! My two loves and my passion.

  1. This is very interesting. I had no idea what you do by day. You sound like you love your job! Not what most people feel about theirs. I wish you the best!
And oh, by the way, your jewelry is so pretty!
